Any registration of a minor must be completed or expressly authorized by an adult holding parental authority or guardianship over that minor. A minor may not create an account, register alone for a Skatespace activity, or accept these terms in their own name.
The responsible adult must be clearly identified in the registration information and must provide, at a minimum, their full name, their relationship to the minor, a telephone number at which they can be reached, and a valid email address. They must remain reachable for the entire duration of the activity, in particular in the event of an emergency, an injury or a class cancellation.
By completing the registration, the responsible adult represents that they hold the authority required to register the minor, accepts these terms and the registration policy on the minor's behalf, consents to the collection and use of the personal information necessary for the activity, and assumes responsibility for all amounts owing.
Skatespace may refuse, suspend or cancel a registration where no responsible adult is identified, where the contact information provided is incomplete or invalid, or where that adult cannot be reached.
The materials and information contained on the site are provided as is, without any warranty, express or implied, subject to any public order legislation to the contrary. Skatespace disclaims all liability and gives no warranty, including any warranty of quality or of fitness for a particular purpose. Skatespace makes no representation as to the use, validity, accuracy or reliability of the materials and information reproduced on the site. Although Skatespace makes every reasonable effort to ensure that the site contains no errors, it disclaims all liability for any error that may appear on it.
The user accepts that use of the site and of the online registration platform is at their own risk. The site and the platform are provided "as is" and "as available". Skatespace does not warrant that access will be uninterrupted, secure, available at all times or free of errors.
Skatespace, its directors, officers, employees, coaches, volunteers and representatives may under no circumstances be held liable for any damage related, directly or indirectly, to the use of the site or of the registration platform. In particular, Skatespace disclaims all liability in the event of an interruption or suspension of access to the site, or in the event of a breakdown, force majeure or network problem.
The terms governing cancellation, refunds, make-up classes and class substitutions are set out in the Skatespace registration policy.
Skatespace takes reasonable technical measures to provide a secure environment and to protect users' information, including encryption of communications (HTTPS/TLS), access controls on data, and hosting with recognized providers. However, given the very nature of the Internet as a public network, the user acknowledges and accepts that the security of transmissions over the Internet cannot be guaranteed. Accordingly, Skatespace cannot guarantee and assumes no liability for any breach of confidentiality, hacking, virus, loss or alteration of user data transmitted or hosted on its systems or on those of its providers.
Skatespace shall not be considered in default in the performance of its obligations where such performance is delayed, hindered or prevented by an event of force majeure, meaning any cause beyond its control and against which it could not protect itself.
These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the province of Québec, Canada. Any dispute shall be brought before a competent court sitting in the district of Montréal, Québec, Canada, to the exclusion of any other court.
These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time in order to remain compliant with the law and to reflect any change in the way we manage our site and the way we expect users to behave on our site. We recommend that users review these terms and conditions from time to time to ensure they are aware of any update. Where necessary, we will inform users by email of changes made to these terms, or we will post a notice on our site.
These terms and conditions were drawn up in French. The English version is provided as a courtesy translation. In the event of any discrepancy between the two versions, the French version prevails.
